Mindfulness Now Programme

The Happiness Coach’s Mindfulness Now Programme provides a fully integrated approach to teaching mindfulness that aims to equip individuals and career coaches with the skills required to enable them to help cope with anxiety and stress, physical pain, emotional pain and training in building emotional resilience for the future. 

The Development of Mindfulness Now

Developed by Nick Cooke after successful experience of using mindfulness to aid his own rehabilitation and recovery following two serious illnesses, the programme draws upon his experiences of practicing mindfulness as a therapist.  Offering a psycho-educational fusion of numerous mindfulness-based approaches, such as MBSR and MBCT, the programme was further developed by Professor Mark Williams and colleagues at the University of Oxford. 

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

Developed by Professor Mark Williams and colleagues at the University of Oxford, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) is a form of cognitive therapy that utilises mindfulness practices such as breathing exercises and meditation. By teaching clients how to use these tools effectively, our career coaching helps clients to break away from negative thought patterns that could lead to depression, encouraging a positive psychology, healthy energy and motivation. 

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 

Developed by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a form of therapy that addresses negative thought patterns than can perpetuate stress, leading to anxiety and depression. MBSR helps clients to explore mindful meditation to cultivate new ways in dealing with what is going on in our minds, lives and bodies, including relaxation and stress management skills.

Combining these various mindfulness-based approaches, Cooke discovered a breakthrough in the treatment of various psychological issues such as anxiety, depression and emotional trauma.
